“How is the birdhouse coming along, Charlie Brown?"

"Well, I'm a lousy carpenter, I can't nail straight, I can't saw straight and I always split the wood... I'm nervous, I lack confidence, I'm stupid, I have poor taste and absolutely no sense of design... So, all things considered, it's coming along okay!”
--Charles M. Schulz, The Complete Peanuts, Vol. 5: 1959-1960

  1. i have built some 'trailer trash' bird houses and hung them here. thankfully my birds are as down-to-earth as i am, and they don't seem to mind. :)

    1. It's great that you build. I like to try. :) My favorite bird houses are the really rustic ones. I think that last one is a homemade job and I think it's great.

    1. I grew gourds one year. Even a loofa. Very interesting. I think bird house gourds would be pretty cool. Let me know how it turns out.

    1. My pleasure, Nancy. I'm thinking as I type this of T's barn birdhouse earlier this week. I wish I had that one in my "collection". Hope you have a great weekend.

  5. What a sweet array of bird houses, lets hope that the birds appreciate the amount of work that goes into making these.
