It is great to see that we can live side-by-side with wildlife....great post for Nature Notes..thank you and I hope to have a nature filled week...Michelle
T, the elk are safer here in Estes Park than anywhere else. Hunting is banned and they always have the right of way. It's one of the great things about living here. All wildlife is respected and cared for.
Missed this last week -- so glad I clicked on the link on Michelle's collage.... we LOVE Estes Park especially the Elk. We're planning a CO visit in June (kids there). Not the best time for the Elk of course, but hey it's still Colorado and beautiful. Thanks for sharing the great picture and bringing back the memories.
We Estes Parkers so take for granted the wanderings nearby of these huge animals. Wonder what flat- landers think when they see these pictures.
ReplyDeleteI think they're surprised.

DeleteOkay -- now that's just too special. I wish we had mountain goats. Well, I wish we had mountains too. :)
ReplyDeleteYou'd make a good mountain woman. :)
DeleteHow amazing! Lovely shot.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so strange to us seeing them so near a supermarket, but what a lovely sight to see when you are out shopping!
ReplyDeleteThe elk rule here, Lindy. They never let us forget whose town it really is. :)
