It's A Liebster Blog Award Day

I'm pretty humbled and honored that Erin @ Chronic Christian Crafter has nominated me for a Liebster Blog award. Thank you so much, Erin, for nominating me as a blogger, but even more thank you for the nice things you wrote about me as a person. You warmed my heart.

I met Erin through one of the memes we both participate in and let me tell you, she's a very special young woman. When I read her post "Perspective - Thankfulness For Life's Lessons" I was really moved. To have such wisdom and insight at her age is truly remarkable. She daily faces chronic illness with grace and beauty, encouraging others with her blog and talent for crafts, and always she gives the glory to God. I love her for that.

Erin has been married five years. I just have to show you her wedding photo (hope you don't mind, Erin, but I adore this!)
Could you find a cuter couple? I want to adopt them. No, really, I do.

In accepting the Liebster Blog Award you agree to :
  1. Thank the person who gave you the award
  2. Link back to their blog
  3. Copy and paste the Liebster award to your blog
  4. Pick 5 blogs that you feel deserve to be in the spotlight (they must have under 200 followers)
  5. Blog about it and leave a comment for your nominations to let them know that you have chosen their blog

So, okay, thank Erin. Check.
Link back to her blog. Check.
Copy and paste Liebster award button to my blog. Check.
Pick 5 blogs to pass the award to. Here goes.

1. I nominate Marie's blog A Colorful World

Marie, a painter, quilter and writer, blogs about life in Tucson, Arizona. She shares photos and stories that often educate as well as entertain. Plus, she just seems like the kindest person you could want to know. The comments she leaves are filled with encouragement. When I get a comment from Marie, I feel uplifted all day. Marie also blogs at piece-fulness, her quilt blog. And she has just started another blog: They Did What?, which informs readers of "what is happening in our country". Did you know the United Nations controls our national parks? This is a lady who cares and shares.

2. I nominate LindyLouMac's World in Photos

LIndyLou photographs and blogs from the home she shares with her husband in Italy. Her stunning photography is a joy to behold. Flowers, food, architecture. . .it's all wonderful.

She has three other blogs:
LindyLouMac's Book Reviews
News from Italy
Travel Tales
LindLou is my go-to person when I want a glimpse of real life under Italy's sun. Love to see what she's up to. And, honestly, I'm a little jealous.

3. I nominate Dena's GodnMe blog.
"Seeking wisdom from Shakespeare"

Dena writes a "bi-weekly blog that encourages readers to see the glory of Jesus Christ in small, daily things, and to seek greater intimacy with Him." With her engaging writing style, Dena makes sense out of life through her ability to see extraordinary truths in ordinary life. Sometimes humorous, sometimes serious, but always "right on". You'll find yourself nodding your head and saying, "yeah" when you read her work. Dena gets it. She's a wife, mother, grandmother and published author living in the Colorado Rockies.

#4 I nominate Debbie's blog String of Purls.

I once tried to knit when I was a teen. "Tried" is the operative word. I never got the hang of it. But Debbie's blog makes me want to try again. Just because her photos are so beautiful and she writes in a way that makes you want to at least hang out at her Ohio home and watch her knit. Debbie blogs about more than knitting, and that's another reason why I keep her at the top of my reading list. She's a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who writes about her home and family from the heart.

#5 I nominate Pam's blog Whims n Whispers

I follow Pam for two reasons:
First, she has a great attitude. These words are posted on her home page:

"Memo to self..
Laugh when you can.. apologize when you should and be kind to everyone you meet.Forgive quickly and have no regrets.
Life is to short to be anything but Happy :)"

That wonderful, joyful attitude comes through in everything she posts. And that brings me to the second reason I read Pam's blogs.I love her photographs. Pam captures nature in ways that speak right to my soul. She lives in South Florida with her husband of 49 years. They were high school sweathearts. Pretty cool, huh? She's a mom, grandmother, and pet mommy to  a "ten year old Bichon puppy-dog, Crissy girl."

Check out the great blogs these outstanding women produce and consider making your own Liebster Blog nominations.

Blessings,

Nancy
