Barn Charm - Gray Day, Gray Barn

I photographed this gray barn near Masonville, Colorado this afternoon. We were on our way back to Estes from Cheyenne, WY.

I'm not sure what the white structure
behind the barn is used for.

Blessings,

Nancy

  1. I like the stark white against the grayness of everything else. Is that a roping arena? And how cool that the hillside behind it kinda mirrors its shape.

    1. You are very observant, Charade. The hillside shape is interesting. I think it would be pretty cool to live in that setting.

    1. You're right! And a yurt may be exactly what it is.

  4. I like the gray weathered boards topped with a shiny new roof: lovely textured contrast. Beautiful setting.

    1. Yes. It's a weird combination of old and new, I think. But it is interesting.

  6. Great barn, love all that fencing, beautiful! I'm curious about the white dome thing, too... hmmm!

    Thanks =)

  7. It looks like a giant tent. Maybe some sort of greenhouse?

    1. Could be. Or grain storage or something. Maybe one day I'll find out.

  8. Nice barn shot. The building behind (which looks like soft material to me - like a yurt or something) could be an arena.
